What size should I buy?

Unlike boxing or Muay Thai gloves, MMA gloves are measured by hand size: Small, Medium, or Large. We recommend checking our MMA Sizes Guide (just scroll up on this page) for detailed guidance.

If you’re unsure between two sizes, always choose the larger one. It’s easier to adapt to a slightly looser glove than to struggle with a tight one that could hinder your grappling technique.

What is the glove material?

Our gloves are crafted from genuine cowhide leather sourced in Pakistan, renowned for its durability, comfort, and ability to withstand the toughest training sessions. This allows the glove to mold to your hands over time, offering a personalized fit while maintaining the resilience needed for long-term use.

What’s the difference between MMA and boxing gloves?

Boxing gloves are built solely for striking, while MMA gloves are designed to accommodate both striking and grappling.

Boxing gloves are fully padded around the knuckles and back of the hand to protect both the fighter and their opponent during repeated strikes. They are bulkier, provide more wrist support, and are designed exclusively for striking.

MMA gloves are lighter (usually 4-7oz) with less padding and an open-finger design. This allows fighters to grapple, clinch, and perform submission techniques, making them more versatile for mixed martial arts.

How do I know if my gloves fit correctly?

Your MMA gloves should feel snug but not overly tight. They should fit comfortably around your hand with no pinching or excessive looseness. You should be able to make a full fist and open your hand easily without resistance. The wrist straps should secure the gloves firmly without cutting off circulation.

Always test your gloves while wearing hand wraps, as they add bulk and can affect the fit. If the gloves feel too tight or too loose with wraps on, they might not be the right size for you.

How do I take care of my gloves?

All Gladius gloves come with care instructions included in your delivery box. Here are our top recommendations to keep your gloves in prime condition:

  • Air them out after every session, let your gloves breathe. Open them up to dry and avoid trapping moisture.

  • Wipe them down weekly with a damp cloth to clean the surface.

  • Store it in a cool, dry place. Never in a sealed bag for extended periods or exposed to sunlight for more than two hours.

  • Condition the leather (optional) every 1-2 months with a quality leather balm.

Remember, your glove is your battle sword, and a master always cares for their tools.

I didn't like my Gladius glove. What should I do?

Unfortunately, the fight-gear industry is plagued with counterfeiting. We don’t want anyone misled by fake products that tarnish our reputation for handmade craftsmanship.

That's why every Gladius glove comes with an unique Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that attests the equipment came directly from our warehouse and is not a cheap copy with our logo on it.

Every certificate has:

  • An unique Serial Number: Encodes your glove’s model, batch, and production year. 

  • Gladius Founder’s Signature: Each certificate is personally signed by our founder to avoid copies. 

  • Wax Seal: Our red Gladius seal (just like in old Roman letters).
